The Origin
250 Million Years in the Making
Himalayan pink salt began as an ancient seabed, crystallised beneath immense tectonic pressure over 250 million years ago.
Today, it's hand-extracted from the Khewra Salt Mine — one of the oldest and largest salt mines in the world — using techniques passed down through generations of miners. The result is a mineral-rich, unrefined salt containing up to 84 trace elements, including the iron oxide that gives it a soft rose hue.
Abdullah Traders works directly with licensed mining cooperatives to source, wash, sort and grade this salt before it reaches our processing facility — ensuring full traceability from seam to shipment.
